We're currently recruiting for a Device Scientist to join our team on a full-time basis in Runcorn, Abbots Park (permanent position).
Teva’s Combination Product & Device (CPD) R&D team, based in Abbots Park, Runcorn, develops needle-based injection devices for delivery of Teva’s Small Molecule medications. Our broad portfolio includes generic and specialty medicines, covering device technologies such as Pre-Filled Syringes (PFS), pen injectors, and autoinjectors, for treating diseases like anaphylaxis, migraine, and diabetes.
Within CPD Abbots Park, there are three product technology clusters, each focused on specific injection devices:

A Day In The Life Of A Device Scientist
You will support laboratory and project activities for developing new and existing products within the CPD R&D team.
This role involves performing and documenting laboratory work, ensuring project and shelf-life reporting milestones are met within agreed timelines and in compliance with cGxP, HSE, and Regulatory standards.
You will assist with sample management, logistics, and calibration/service of laboratory equipment, contributing to continuous process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
* Planning and executing laboratory tests to generate reliable data supporting scientific investigations;
* Ensuring all work complies with SOPs and regulatory guidelines;
* Managing laboratory equipment such as tensile/torsional force testers, microscopes, balances, and CMMs;
* Recording, analyzing, and presenting results to senior staff;
* Using software for data analysis, graphing, and statistical evaluation;
* Staying updated on technical developments that can enhance efficiency and reliability;
* Conducting literature searches related to research topics;
* Following safety protocols diligently;
* Maintaining laboratory documentation and processes.
Who We Are Looking For
Do you have?
* Experience in a Medical Device/Pharmaceutical laboratory environment or similar regulated industry (preferred, but motivated recent graduates considered);
* A relevant degree is desirable but not essential;
* Ability to analyze data, prepare reports, and summarize findings;
* Knowledge of cGMP/GLP (advantageous);
* Experience with laboratory equipment management and calibration;
* Knowledge of statistical techniques such as t-tests and Gauge R&R;
* Ability to work independently and complete tasks on time;
* Experience leading or driving tasks to completion;
* Attention to detail and adaptable approach;
* Good communication skills and team spirit;
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
