A knowledgeable and engaging History Teacher is required to join a well-regarded Independent boarding secondary school for boys aged 11-16 in Barnet for a permanent position commencing in September. The successful candidate will inspire students with a fascination for the past and develop their critical thinking skills.
Responsibilities
* Plan, prepare, and deliver captivating History Teacher lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4.
* Prepare students effectively for GCSE History examinations, ensuring a strong understanding of historical concepts and interpretations.
* Cultivate a dynamic learning environment that encourages historical inquiry, debate, and the analysis of sources.
* Assess and monitor student progress in History, providing insightful feedback to enhance their understanding.
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in History.
* Demonstrated experience teaching History Teacher lessons at Key Stages 3 and 4.
* A strong and comprehensive knowledge of British and world history.
* Excellent communication and storytelling skills, capable of bringing historical events to life for students.
* Outer London Payscale.
* Supportive and collaborative Humanities department within an Independent school.
