About role
Prospero are looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Spanish Teacher to work within a secondary school in the Southport area to cover maternity leave. Please see below for further details:
Spanish Teacher
1. Location – Southport, PR8
2. Position – Spanish Teacher
3. Start date – As soon as possible
4. Full time/part time – Full time, covering maternity leave
5. Minimum rate of pay – Paid to scale
6. Hours – 8:00 am – 16:00 pm
RESPONSIBILITIES
7. Designing lesson plans aligned with standards, teaching grammar, and vocabulary
8. Setting and marking classwork, homework, and exams; tracking progress to identify areas for improvement.
9. Maintaining a positive, encouraging and safe environment.
10. Reporting progress to parents, attending staff meetings, and collaborating with departments.
11. Staying current with teaching techniques and curriculum changes.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
12. Fluency in Spanish
13. Teaching qualification with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
14. Previous experience working with young people in a school setting
15. Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential as some training is provided)
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
16. Hold Right to Work in the UK
17. Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
18. Provide two professional references.
