Hours Per Week: 37 Days Per Week: Monday to Friday (08:00 - 16:00) Contract: Full Time & Permanent Salary: £29,690 per annum Hiring Manager: Pank Patel Closing Date: Thursday 23rd October 2025 The day to day Lead the daily operations of a laboratory-based team delivering analytical testing or logistical support Set clear objectives for individuals and teams, with regular performance reviews Maintain high staff morale, motivation, and ensure competence through effective training Deliver excellent customer service while upholding analytical integrity Plan and allocate resources to meet service delivery targets within budget Promote continuous improvement through structured problem-solving Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety, HR, Quality, Regulatory, and Accreditation requirements Communicate effectively with team members, senior managers, and other stakeholders Manage recruitment, induction, and development of new team members Participate in the supervision of legal samples as part of the formal rota The essentials HNC/HND (or equivalent) in a relevant scientific discipline Significant hands-on laboratory experience Ideally, prior experience managing or supervising teams Strong leadership qualities and the ability to model company values Excellent communication, coaching, and performance management skills Highly organised, proactive, and results-driven Sound understanding of Quality Management Systems Critical thinking and data evaluation skills Experience in managing costs, resources, and team productivity effectively Our benefits include: Annual Leave commencing at 25 days (rising to 30) plus 8 public holidays (pro rata for part time) Ability to Buy annual leave.
