Main duties of the job
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing high quality consultations to our registered patients
* Managing a wide range of primary care presentations, with a particular focus on student health
* Participating in duty clinics, online consultations, and routine appointments
* Working alongside GPs, nurses, mentalhealth practitioners, and administrative colleagues
* Contributing to continuous improvement, clinical governance, and practice development

Job responsibilities
The Newly Qualified General Practitioner (GP) will providehigh quality, patient centered, evidence based medical careto registered patients within a primary care setting. The post is designed to support the transition from GP training to independent practice, offering appropriateclinical supervision, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.
We are looking for 6 x 4 hr sessions per week
The post holder will work as part of amultidisciplinary primary care team, delivering comprehensive general medical services while developing confidence, competence, and leadership skills in line withGMC standards, NHS values, and professional best practice.
The Newly Qualified GP will:

Long Term Condition Management
Manage patients with chronic diseases such as:
Diabetes
Asthma and COPD
Cardiovascular disease
Mental health conditions
Musculoskeletal conditions
Undertake structured medication reviews
Support personalised care planning
Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive clinical records
Complete referrals, reports, and correspondence efficiently
Participate in clinical coding and data quality improvement
Review and action clinical correspondence, test results, and tasks
Adhere to practice protocols and pathways
Support for Newly Qualified GPs
The practice/PCN will provide:
* Named GP mentor or supervisor
* Protected learning and development time
* Support with appraisal, portfolio development, and revalidation
* Gradual increase in workload and clinical complexity
* Opportunities for portfolio roles (e.g. education, quality improvement, leadership)
Multidisciplinary Team Working
* Work collaboratively with:
o GP partners and salaried GPs
o Practice nurses and nurse practitioners
o Pharmacists
o Paramedics
o Physician associates
o Social prescribers
o Administrative and reception teams
