Ecologist (Highlands and Isles) – Inverness, Scottish Highlands and Isles
Salary: £40,000 to £50,000 + progression + training + company benefits + license sponsorship
What you will have the opportunity to do
Join a tightknit, well-run consultancy that will sponsor you through several different licenses and support an exciting pipeline of projects not only in the Highlands but also internationally. You will have the opportunity to specialise in specific species or fields with full support to obtain the relevant licenses and work on projects aligned with your passions. The company offers the chance to work on a variety of ticket areas (e.g., Bats, Otters, Newts, Eagles, Badgers and more) and undertake overseas projects across Europe and Africa during the winter months.
Responsibilities
* Take site surveys and calculate Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG).
* Travel to various local locations, staying overnight when needed.
* Work from home to report findings.
* Travel across the Scottish isles for niche ecological surveys.
The Person
* Ecologist background.
* Local to Inverness or willing to relocate.
