Hospitality & General Assistant – London, England
Holroyd Howe is one of the UK’s leading contract caterers, providing fresh innovative food services solely to independent schools and colleges. We tailor our catering service provision to meet the bespoke requirements of children of all ages.
Salary: £13.15 per hour
Term: Term Time plus 5 days
Hours: 40 hours per week
The position is based on-site at one of our prestigious education settings, working with the Catering Manager, supporting the operations team and chefs to deliver service and exceptional food and drinks.
The Hospitality & General Assistant will build strong relationships with clients, understand briefs and execute every detail with quality and a human touch.
Key Responsibilities
* Play an integral role in the successful delivery of events across the site
* Monitor daily standards in your department and report any areas of concern to your line manager
* Liaise with kitchen, events, reception and other areas to ensure food and service are consistent with pre-agreed standards
* Meet clients on arrival and ensure the event meets their requirements; relay on-the-day changes to relevant colleagues
* Carry out regular checks of event areas for maintenance, housekeeping and health and safety issues; report to the line manager
* Assist with lunch service preparations and service
* Ensure customers receive prompt and efficient service and that expectations are exceeded
* Remain customer focused during service periods, be visible, approachable and proactive in meeting customer needs
* Project a helpful attitude and maintain knowledge of menu items; keep areas and service counters clean and stocked
Qualifications
* Ideally experience in education catering
* Experience working at events
* Good Health & Safety knowledge
* Flexible with a can-do attitude, customer focused
* Enthusiastic and team-oriented
