Key Responsibilities of the Primary Teaching Assistant (TA): Provide in-class support to the teacher, assisting with learning activities and behaviour management. Deliver targeted interventions to small groups or individual pupils. Help prepare teaching materials and classroom displays. Support children’s academic, social, and emotional development. Monitor pupil progress and report observations to teaching staff. Ensure a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment. Requirements for Primary School Class Teacher: Previous experience working with children in a school, nursery, or similar setting. A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching & Learning) is desirable. Strong communication and teamwork skills. A positive, proactive, and nurturing attitude. Understanding of safeguarding and child protection practices. Have an up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
