Supporting one of the largest and most complex business units, you will play a pivotal role at the heart of the commercial decision‑making process, working closely with senior leadership to drive performance, improve profitability and influence strategic direction. This is a highly visible position offering genuine scope to make an impact and work closely with top‑tier stakeholders, including exposure to executive leadership.
Key Responsibilities
* Partnering closely with senior stakeholders, including a General Manager, to influence strategic and operational decisions
* Leading budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis processes
* Providing commercial insight across pricing, promotions and investment decisions
* Driving ROI analysis and challenging performance to ensure optimal resource allocation
* Translating complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for non‑finance stakeholders
* Supporting cross‑functional initiatives, including supply chain and inventory optimisation
* Playing a proactive role in improving financial understanding across the wider business
This is a fast‑paced, highly commercial role where you will be expected to operate with autonomy, credibility and influence.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will be a commercially focused finance professional with strong business partnering experience and the ability to operate confidently in a demanding, high‑performance environment. We are particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate:
* Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
* Proven experience in a Finance Business Partner or Commercial Finance role
* Strong track record of influencing senior stakeholders and driving business performance
* Experience managing or supporting complex P&Ls within a fast‑paced environment
* Background in consumer‑led, retail or FMCG environments (highly desirable, but not essential)
* Excellent analytical skills, including advanced Excel capability and strong financial modelling experience
* Ability to present financial information clearly, with strong storytelling and communication skills
* Resilience, confidence and the ability to challenge constructively
* Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across diverse stakeholder groups
