To work at The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust as Deputy Lead Radiographer for MRI. The service provides an MRI service and is located within radiology department at Hillingdon Hospital.
The post holder will be an effective member of the Radiology team, a role model, provide clinical leadership, undertake managerial responsibilities and maintain quality standards.
The Radiology Service at Hillingdon Hospital operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with core hours between 8am and 8pm Monday to Friday. The MRI service operates 8am to 5pm every day excluding weekends.
Responsibilities
 * Co‑ordinate and communicate effectively with the Modality Lead Radiographers.
 * Assist the Lead Radiographer with development of protocols and procedures in MRI.
 * Help in the development of radiographer vetting.
 * Represent MRI as part of a multi‑professional team and support work of relevant clinical networks.
 * Relate to all manner of patients with care, compassion and confidentiality.
 * Achieve and maintain skills in information technology relevant to imaging.
 * Use the departmental radiology information systems to register patients, check patient results and generate patient appointments.
 * Manage and support training of radiographers, clinical imaging assistants and students in MRI.
