Role: Teaching Assistant
Location: Wessex Lodge School, Frome, Somerset BA11 4LA
Salary: £20,906.25 per annum (not pro rata)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only
Start: October 2026

Responsibilities
* Connect directly with pupils, helping ensure they get the very best from their education.
* Prepare learning materials, run classroom activities, and provide hands-on support.
* Support pupils’ emotional and physical needs, guiding their learning journeys and development.
* Contribute to a collaborative team and engage with guidance to grow in your career.
* Take opportunities for additional paid responsibilities across areas such as Outdoor Education, Farm, Horticulture, and Forest School.
Who We’re Looking For
The successful applicant will be adaptable and ready to work in a variety of classroom and outdoor settings, according to individual pupil needs. You should be responsive, caring, and capable of leading classroom activities, outdoor experiences, or supervising trips. Our schools are built on teamwork, collaboration, and mutual support.
Qualifications
* English and Maths GCSE essential
* TA qualification desirable
* Full UK Driving Licence
