The Role

Teaching Assistant — We seek an inspirational and creative individual to join us. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of something special.

You will support teaching and learning in a class of up to 8 students, working alongside a class teacher and a HLTA. Experience with Autism, BESD, or AP is advantageous but not required. Our current TAs come from diverse backgrounds.

You should care passionately about each child's individual needs, be observant and responsive, and capable of implementing strategies to improve achievement across the curriculum. A commitment to professional development, resilience, non-judgemental attitude, and unconditional acceptance are essential.

You must be confident and adaptable to work with children of any age or ability. Our children are verbal, able-bodied, and literate, requiring support to maximize their talents. Roles are flexible to showcase strengths and foster professional growth. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support the academy's vision, ethos, and objectives, ensuring successful learning, achievement, and well-being.

We understand the importance of motivating and reinforcing learning for children with autism and social, emotional, or mental health needs. We seek flexible, creative staff who appreciate how learning impacts overall well-being and success. We work closely with families to ensure they feel supported and confident in the education provided.
