Level 3 Teaching Assistant to work in Early Years at St. Thomas of Canterbury Catholic Primary School. Location: Walsall, West Midlands. Working pattern: 30 hours per week, term-time only. We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Level 3 Teaching Assistant to support the Early Years provision in a Catholic school environment. Our vision is to provide high expectations, a strong faith, and caring staff to help children enjoy learning, become resilient and confident, and leave with positive memories.
Responsibilities
* Support the delivery of the EYFS curriculum.
* Contribute to creating an appropriate and stimulating learning environment in collaboration with the class teacher.
* Assist with planning and implementing learning activities; adjust activities according to pupil responses/needs.
* Cover classes as needed and support other staff across the school, including trips and events.
* Liaise with parents/carers where necessary.
* Support pupils to access learning activities through specialist support.
* Demonstrate a high level of speech and language; have strong numeracy and literacy skills.
* Work as part of a team to maximise each child’s development and potential; align with the ethos of an effective Catholic school.
Qualifications
* Ability to deliver the EYFS curriculum and a good understanding of child development.
* Excellent numeracy and literacy skills.
* Strong speech and language abilities.
* Ability to liaise with parents/carers and collaborate with the teaching staff to establish an effective learning environment.
* Flexibility to cover classes and support other staff across the school, including trips and events.
