Frazer-Nash Consultancy is one of the established Defence, Engineering, and Technology Consultancies in the UK, recruiting a new Market Group Manager covering our Defence Maritime Sector — a critical role in advancing our business.
What you’ll be doing
* Oversee business development efforts across key defence, engineering, and technology sectors, aligning with strategic objectives
* Build and manage long-term client relationships, becoming a trusted advisor and first point of contact
* Accountable for identifying, and mitigating commercial risks
* Identify and qualify new business opportunities
* Provide accurate forecasting and reporting of pipeline, performance, and market intelligence to senior leadership
* Line Manager for a group of Business Managers on a day-to-day basis, providing functional leadership, coaching and mentoring
Essential Experience
* Skilful in enhancing business development and increasing sales in the Defence Maritime Sector, applicable to wider defence, engineering, or technology sectors
* Ability to engage with technical teams and translate complex offerings into compelling business value
* Experience across the range of Defence industry commercial strategies and contracting mechanisms used to engage suppliers
* Skilful communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills
* Organized professional with a strategic mindset and a results-driven attitude
Experience We Are Looking For
* Background in consulting would be advantageous
* Existing network within defence primes, government agencies, or related industries; experience with framework agreements and public sector bids
* Degree in business, engineering, or a related field is beneficial
