About The Role & Team
The Senior Technical Manager leads the technical and managerial aspects of large-scale, complex construction projects, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance. The role involves leading multidisciplinary teams, providing strategic guidance, and overseeing all technical aspects from planning to delivery. The position is based on-site in Lea Bridge, with occasional travel to Uxbridge.
Key Responsibilities
1. Technical Oversight: Provide expert leadership, review designs, implement best practices, ensure safety regulations compliance, and lead audits.
2. Strategic Project Management: Lead planning, execution, and completion of projects, ensuring standards and legislation compliance.
3. Health, Safety & Environment: Maintain high safety standards and regulatory compliance.
4. Stakeholder Management: Act as primary contact for clients, ensuring their needs are met.
5. Leadership & Management: Mentor teams, fostering excellence and continuous improvement.
6. Legal & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure statutory and regulatory adherence.
7. Quality Control: Implement quality management systems.
8. Sustainability & Innovation: Promote sustainable practices and industry standards.
9. Documentation & Reporting: Oversee production of drawings, details, and specifications.
10. Regular Interfaces With: Internal teams, contractors, consultants, and leadership.
Key Skills & Experience
1. Minimum 4 years experience as a Senior Technical Coordinator or Technical Manager.
2. Proven delivery of projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
3. Up-to-date knowledge of building regulations, industry standards, and safety legislation.
4. Experience with modern construction techniques, including high-rise buildings.
5. Ability to interpret drawings and technical specifications accurately.
6. Strong interpersonal, planning, and organizational skills.
7. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and project management tools.
8. Professional qualification (e.g., RICS, RIBA, CIOB) preferred; minimum Level 4 qualification or equivalent experience.
