We are looking for an experienced chef who can cook for up to 200 people for lunch and evening meals. The role also involves occasionally assisting with weekly food orders.
Location: Belhaven Hill School - EH42 1NN
Rate of Pay: £28,275 per annum
Working Pattern: 5 days over 7, including weekends (as little as one weekend per month). Working hours start at 07:30 am and finish by 7:00 pm.
Hours per week: 37.5
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Preparing high-quality, delicious food that delights clients and customers
* Overseeing and implementing menu changes
* Identifying opportunities to improve our food services
* Listening to and acting on customer feedback to enhance food quality
* Supporting the creation of new menus and innovative food concepts
* Representing Gather & Gather and maintaining a positive brand image
* Monitoring inventories to ensure kitchens are well-stocked
* Maintaining hygiene standards through kitchen cleaning responsibilities
* Complying with Food Handling, Hygiene, and Health & Safety regulations
Our ideal Chef will:
* Be passionate about great-tasting food and exceptional customer service
* Hold a City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent
* Have experience supervising a team
* Have experience in a similar chef role
* Hold a valid Food Hygiene certificate
* Be flexible in working arrangements
