* Experience of working in an NHS management/leadership role
* Experience of managing, leading and motivating a team
* Experience of leading service changes to improve performance
* Experience of NHS budget management experience
* Experience of business case development and annual planning, longer term planning
Desirable criteria
* Project Management Qualification
* Proven experience working in an NHS secondary care management/leadership role
* Proven experience working in urgent and emergency care
Knowledge
Essential criteria
* Financial procedures including budget setting and working knowledge of financial processes
* Business planning/annual planning
* Understanding of change management
* Able to use IT systems including Microsoft Office
* Good understanding of the current NHS agenda and healthcare policy

It is an exciting time to join the newly formed Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. We run two busy hospital sites in Bedford and Luton. Our 7,500 staff provide high quality care for a growing population of around 700,000 across Bedfordshire and the surrounding areas.
