Working within a clean, fast-paced factory environment, you will play a key role in ensuring products are manufactured to the highest quality standards while supporting continuous improvement across the site. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with an interest or background in quality control or manufacturing, who is detail-focused, organised, and comfortable working on the production floor. Full training will be provided, along with clear progression opportunities within Quality for the right individual. You will be comfortable working on your feet, following processes, and carrying out routine and repetitive checks to ensure consistency and compliance throughout each shift. Responsibilities Carrying out routine inspections and quality checks on incoming, in-process, and finished products Testing flexible packaging materials to required quality standards Conducting visual and mechanical tests using quality testing equipment Recording results accurately and maintaining quality documentation Supporting investigations into non-conformances and customer complaints Assisting with root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions Ensuring compliance with GMP, BRCGS, ISO, HACCP, and food safety standards Maintaining calibration and condition of quality testing equipment Supporting internal and external audits Promoting quality, safety, and continuous improvement on the shop floor Ensuring quality control is maintained throughout the shift Reporting maintenance or quality issues promptly Completing effective shift handovers Keeping the QC area clean, tidy, and audit-ready at all times Following all company, health & safety, and factory procedures Attending training as required Supporting other reasonable tasks as needed Experience / Person Previous experience in a Quality Control or manufacturing environment Familiar with working to BRCGS or similar quality standards Understanding of manufacturing processes such as printing, lamination, or slitting (advantageous) Good attention to detail and accuracy Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) Comfortable with basic maths and recording data Reliable with good timekeeping Willing to learn and develop Strong team-working attitude Clear and confident communicator Able to work independently when required Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment This role offers clear progression opportunities within Quality and Technical functions for the right candidate.
