Job Description
3. Develop and document experimental plans for improving performance in anaerobic digestion and associated activities
4. Assist in Midi and Plant Trials as required.
5. Implementation of process improvement trials across the operational sites
6. Where required collect, prepare and perform chemical analysis of effluent, process liquors, feedstock, sea water, carbon dioxide and biogas samples according to standard operating procedures, COSHH and Risk Assessment
7. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
8. Provide technical support for troubleshooting and resolving process issues.
9. Document and report findings, maintaining accurate records.
10. Assist in scaling up processes from laboratory to production scale.
11. Stay updated on advancements in the life sciences and industrial sectors.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Process Development Chemist should have:
12. Strong Laboratory work background.
13. Ability to collate data and produce meaningful & concise reports from data
14. Strong IT skills particularly Excel & use of ERP system or databases.
15. Ability to manage own time and prioritise workload accordingly
16. Ability to present complex scientific information to a non-scientific work group
17. Able to challenge established norms with a professional and fact driven approach
18. Ability to work independently.
19. Essential: First Degree in Biology, Chemistry; Biochemistry; Microbiology or similar. Desirable: Masters in similar subject area.
