About You

We welcome graduates from all backgrounds, degree subjects and universities.

* A minimum of 5 GCSEs grades A‑C (or 4‑9), including Maths and English, or equivalent.
* Ordinarily resident in the UK for the last three years (to meet training funding requirements).

About the Role

The Graduate Project Officer will support the development, implementation and monitoring of council policies and procedures. Responsibilities include:

* Assisting in the formulation, planning and monitoring of policies and procedures.
* Supporting the implementation of council decisions and circulating reports accordingly.

* Researching, preparing and writing reports and briefing papers for managers and elected members.
* Working collaboratively with council departments and external partners, including the private and voluntary sector.

Professional Development

Throughout the programme you will have a placement manager and a supervisor to support your development. You will undertake a work‑related qualification to enhance your planning, communication, organisational and management skills.
