About the Role
The Deputy Institute Manager will work with the Institute Manager to ensure the efficient management of the Institute. Responsibilities include HR processes, leading health and safety requirements, and managing centre managers while collaborating with the Director’s office team.
About the Faculty/Institute
The Blizard Institute, established in 2003, is part of the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry at QMUL. It comprises approximately 370 staff across four academic Centres and one Public Engagement Centre, supporting about 700 postgraduate research and taught students. The Institute aims for excellence in research, teaching, and clinical service.
About You
Applicants should have significant experience in Higher Education management, line management, financial management and budgeting, and familiarity with HR and recruitment. Good analytical and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to work independently, are essential.
