Overview
Join the University of Leeds MATLAB Student Ambassador role at MathWorks. The position is designed for students who are pursuing a bachelors or masters degree and is a paid internship requiring approximately 5 hours per week. MathWorks offers a hybrid work model that enables staff to split time between office and home.
Responsibilities
* Explore and implement creative ideas for spreading awareness of the MathWorks brand and products among students.
* Identify and engage with prominent student organizations related to Engineering, Math, Science and Finance.
* Plan and organize campus events to demonstrate MATLAB and Simulink.
* Use social media and university channels to spread awareness of MathWorks Student Challenges and resources for learning MATLAB and Simulink.
* Promote MathWorks presence at university career fairs, information sessions and other recruiting events.
* Host events on campus to demonstrate MATLAB and Simulink, providing resources such as software demos and hardware tools.
* Leverage your social media skills (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.) to share articles and information about MathWorks products.
Minimum Qualifications
* Candidates must be pursuing a bachelors or masters level degree.
Additional Qualifications
* Proficient in MATLAB; familiarity with Simulink is a plus.
* Strong interpersonal skills with a passion for social media (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, blogging, etc.).
* Undergraduate or graduate student in good academic standing with at least 2 semesters remaining (preferably in Engineering).
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Strong time management skills and the ability to work on several projects simultaneously.
* Legal authorization to work in the UK.
