Position Description
Position Summary: The Dietitian meets with students that have eating or nutritional problems to help them develop better diets, providing ongoing nutritional counseling as needed.
Education Required: Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics or a related field and Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist certification (RDN).
Education Preferred
Experience Required: Minimum of one year of experience working with eating and nutritional problems including a particular focus on eating disorders.

* Competence in the assessment of the nutritional adequacy of diets
* Strong skills in nutritional counseling and developmental psychology
* Understands the nature of eating disorders and how to work with such patients
* Ability to collaborate with other professionals

* Ability to maintain strict confidentiality

Essential Duties
* Provide nutritional counseling to students, focusing on adequacy of diets and eating disorders.
* Interact and consult with Counseling and Health Services professional staff, the Department of Athletics, the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, and Dining Services regarding the treatment of students.
* Act as a resource/liaison for students with allergies/special diet needs and dining services. Create special diets for students with allergies.
* Support dining operations with menu ideas and allergy updates.
* Participate in health education programming.
* Provide consistent and reliable attendance.
