Full-Time Learning Support Assistant – Southampton
We are hiring support staff for an inclusive and supportive SEN school in Southampton, dedicated to providing an exceptional learning experience for students with a range of needs. The primary (4-11) school prides itself on fostering a nurturing environment where every child is given the opportunity to succeed academically and socially.
We are currently looking for a dedicated and passionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our team on a full-time basis. As an LSA, you will work closely with students, helping to support their individual learning needs and contribute to their personal development. The children have a mix of needs and learning disabilities, and candidates will need to be confident in working with social and communication, physical, and other special needs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide one-on-one, two-to-one, and small group support to students with a variety of learning needs.
2. Assist with the delivery of differentiated lessons.
3. Support the teacher in managing classroom behaviour and promoting a positive learning environment.
4. Help students with their social, emotional, and academic progress.
5. Assist with the preparation of resources and classroom activities.
Requirements:
1. A genuine passion for supporting children in their learning journey.
2. Previous experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
5. A Child Enhanced DBS on the update service (at the candidate's own cost).
Salary and Benefits:
£13.75 per hour

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
