Frontend Angular Developer
Position Description
The Space, Defence and Intelligence business unit in CGI is a true IT Systems Integrator. We work, build, and operate bespoke, technically complex, mission-critical systems which help our clients keep us all safe and secure. We bring innovation to our clients using proven and emerging technologies, agile delivery processes and our deep expertise across space, defence, intelligence, aerospace, and maritime, all underpinned by our end-to-end cyber capability. We collaborate with global technology companies, SMEs, and academia to deliver optimal solutions.
CGI is seeking a Frontend JavaScript Engineer to join an exciting new programme (BOREALIS) on a full-time permanent basis. Due to the secure nature of the programme, you will need UK Security Clearance or be eligible for it. This position is hybrid, based in Leatherhead.
Responsibilities
* Develop engaging user interfaces using JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, and HTML5.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams in agile environments (Scrum, SAFe, DevSecOps).
* Transform complex scientific and engineering data into intuitive, visually appealing interfaces.
* Engage with diverse projects, learn new technologies, and contribute to cutting-edge solutions in the space sector.
Qualifications
* Strong experience in JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, and HTML5.
* Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
* Pragmatic, delivery-focused mindset with a love for learning.
Highly Desirable Skills
* Experience with Angular 12+ and Bootstrap.
* Back-End exposure in Java.
Additional Assets
* Familiarity with Astro Space UX Design System.
* Experience with Agile methodologies.
* Knowledge of big data technologies, machine learning frameworks, or orbit dynamics is a plus.
