Croft Hall Surgery is going through changes that will drive the service and Patient experience as well as delivering new efficient and effective procedures. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic GP to join the Croft Hall Team as a Salaried GP for ideally 6-8 sessions per week but willing to be flexible for the right person. As a partner you would have the opportunity to put your own stamp on the practice and develop. Torquay, Devon is an innovative area and our practice is involved with all local initiatives. We are a single urban site, beside the sea, serving 8200 patients and an active part of the Torquay PCN. We have an ever growing multi-disciplinary team which includes experienced ANPs, alongside our PCN staff including Pharmacists, Wellbeing Team and Physician Associates. We focus on the wellbeing of our staff and have strong communication across all teams. We structure our workload to support each other to ensure a good work-life balance.

Job Responsibilities
* Practice as an independent prescriber working within scope of practice
* Carry out face-to-face and telephone consultations with patients with minor illnesses
* Provide medication review services with patients in the practice and, when required during domiciliary visits to local residential and care homes
* Provide advice and support for patients with self-limiting conditions
* Review medications for newly registered patients
* Provide subject matter expertise on medication monitoring, implementing and embedding a system
* Carry out targeted medication reviews for high-risk patients
* Reauthorise medication for repeat prescribing within scope of practice
* Identify patients suitable for repeat prescribing, liaising with the relevant clinicians as required
* Review and implement safe prescribing systems for vulnerable patients, improving compliance
* Support clinicians with the management of patients suffering from drug and alcohol dependencies
* Actively signpost patients to the correct healthcare professional
* Assist with QOF targets
* Administer influenza and travel vaccines
* Act as the practice point of contact for all medicines-related matters, establishing positive working relationships

Essential: GP Primary Care Experience
Desirable: Experience of working within a deprivation area; EMIS Web experience; Docman experience
Qualifications
Essential
Qualified GP; GMC full registration; Membership of recognised defence union (MPS/MDU); MRCGP; Currently on a performers list; Never been removed from a performers list for a detrimental reason
Desirable: DRCOG; DFP; DCH
