James Brindley Academy, Birmingham, United Kingdom. We are looking for a Head of Art to monitor the delivery of the activity across the Academy and to ensure high standards in classroom practice, organisation and curriculum assessment. Many of our Young People have gaps in their education and we strive to implement creative teaching strategies to reduce the impact of educational disadvantage, enabling all our Young People to access learning and make expected progress. You should be passionate about developing and supporting the needs of the whole child and committed to enabling all pupils to thrive. You should have QTS and a track record as a consistently good practitioner.
We are seeking a qualified teacher with tenacity, positivity and experience of teaching the subject at KS3 and KS4.
Responsibilities
* Monitor the delivery of Art activity across the Academy to ensure high standards in classroom practice, organisation and curriculum assessment.
* Develop and implement creative teaching strategies to address educational disadvantage and support all pupils to access learning and make expected progress.
* Support the needs of the whole child and contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment.
* Lead and develop Art provision at KS3 and KS4, contributing to curriculum design and assessment.
Qualifications and Experience
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
* Proven track record as a consistently good practitioner in Art at KS3 and KS4.
* Tenacity, positivity and commitment to pupil progress and well-being.
