Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistants Location: Wakefield (WF4) Pay rate: £460 -£600 per week (Depending on experience) Start Date: Immediate Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time Provide vital support to pupils with special educational needs, helping them thrive in the classroom. GSL Education are inviting reliable SEN Teaching Assistants to join a school within the Wakefield community (covering WF4 ), providing essential support to pupils with special educational needs. As a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA), you will work closely with pupils and teachers to deliver 1:1 or small group support, ensuring learning is accessible and engaging for all. Main Responsibilities: Support pupils with SEN during lessons and activities. Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs). Encourage independence, confidence, and engagement in learning. Monitor pupil progress and report observations to teaching staff. Promote a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment. Requirements: Previous experience working as a SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role. Knowledge of SEN strategies and classroom support techniques. Strong communication, patience, and organisational skills. Commitment to safeguarding and supporting pupils’ wellbeing. An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
