Purpose
The Inventory Control Analyst & Planner is responsible for the efficient and accurate management of Manufacturing Job creation and materials on the shop floor and in Epicor. This position is a key contributor (Co‑Champion) for our overall Delivery and Inventory KPI performance.
Essential Functions
* Release Jobs to the floor in a timely and correct priority to optimize production efficiency and hit delivery targets. Close Jobs in the system as needed.
* Utilize Epicor Work Queues as our scheduling method of choice.
* Install processes to simplify the shop floor by providing all necessary information to execute the job flawlessly.
* Collaborate with Production, Shipping, and Customer Service Teams to manage customer requirements, past dues, and support On Time Delivery.
* Manage the Cycle Count Process, ensuring compliance with cycle count and Inventory by Location standards.
* Participate in and support periodical Physical Inventory as well as the regular Cycle Counts.
* Notify the Quality department when material.
* While this role is primarily focused on the Fabrication area, recommend and establish run quantities, min/max levels, appropriate reorder points, and other parameters to control inventory targets.
* Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
* Develop a robust cross training plan for the relevant functions, so that all tasks can be completed in the event of vacations, PTO, or sickness. Assist with training as needed.
* Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
* Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of experience.
* Minimum of 3 years of scheduling experience with MRP systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and Excel.
* Knowledge of Epicor and ability to perform needed inventory move transactions.
* General knowledge of Supply Chain functions in a manufacturing facility.
* Ability to work and make decisions in a fast‑paced environment.
* Skilled at Problem Solving and Collaborative Decision Making.
* Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal.
* Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
* Analytical and problem‑solving skills.
* Compliance with all health and safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
* Must have regular attendance as well as willingness and ability to work overtime.
