We are a leading Social Housing Contractor seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join our dedicated commercial team based in Tottenham. About the Role
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the commercial management and cost control of multiple social housing projects - from initial award through to final account. You'll ensure commercial success by providing timely and accurate cost reporting, managing subcontractor procurement, and negotiating effectively with clients and supply chain partners.
Key responsibilities:
Managing the commercial performance of allocated projects, including CVRs, forecasts, and final accounts
Overseeing financial documentation in line with internal reporting schedules
Supporting procurement of sub-contractors and suppliers in conjunction with the Procurement Team
Handling variations, loss and expense claims, and re-measurements to ensure optimal financial outcomes
Communicating project progress to senior management, ensuring transparency and accountabilityAbout You:
To thrive in this role, you will bring:
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within social housing or a similar construction environment
Be degree qualified
Strong knowledge of measurement, valuation, and cost control processes
Excellent understanding of budget management, CVRs, and financial forecasting
Experience with responsive, cyclical, and planned maintenance projects
Proficiency with relevant IT systems and software packages
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
