We are seeking a skilled and reliable to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial driving and delivery, with a focus on ensuring timely and safe transportation of goods. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a warehouse environment. Experience with luton box vehicles is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
* Operate commercial vehicles to deliver goods to various locations.
* Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo, adhering to all safety regulations.
* Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle to maintain mechanical integrity and report any issues promptly.
* Collaborate with warehouse staff to manage inventory and ensure efficient operations.
* Maintain accurate delivery records and communicate effectively with dispatch regarding any delays or issues.
* Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any concerns or queries from clients.
Qualifications
* Valid driving licence with experience in driving vehicles.
* Previous delivery driver experience is essential, preferably in a warehouse setting.
* Strong mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance on vehicles as needed.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with team members and clients.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and professionalism at all times.
