About the Role
Crossmaglen Credit Union is seeking a proactive, community-minded, and creative individual to take on the role of Community Engagement & Marketing Officer. This is a key role that will help shape how we connect with our members, promote our services, and support financial wellbeing across our common bond area.
The role involves developing and delivering community outreach, marketing campaigns, and communication strategies that reflect the values and objectives of the Credit Union. The successful candidate will also carry out research and analysis of the local area to inform engagement strategies and better understand the needs of current and potential members.
This is a locally based, community-facing role.
Key Responsibilities
* Build and maintain relationships with local schools, community groups, and partner organisations
* Promote financial education and inclusion through school programmes and public events
* Organise and deliver community events, sponsorships, and Credit Union initiatives
* Develop and implement marketing campaigns across digital and traditional platforms
* Manage website content, social media, and member communications
* Carry out local research to support strategic outreach and data-informed marketing
* Ensure brand consistency and clear messaging across all communications
* Represent the Credit Union at local events and act as a community ambassador
What We’re Looking For
* Experience in marketing, communications, or community engagement
* Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
* Confident working with digital tools including websites and social media
* Ability to manage multiple projects independently
* Comfortable using research and data to inform marketing strategies
* Creative, organised, and aligned with the values of community finance
* An understanding of the importance of clear, honest, and inclusive communication
* Willingness to be present in the community and represent the Credit Union professionally
