All about the Role

Our Children with Disabilities Team is recruiting a Part Time Social Worker for our growing and developing service. We are seeking a Social Worker who is eager to progress and be part of a service that is dedicated to providing the best outcomes for Children with Disabilities and their Families within the diverse area of Peterborough.

All about our Team

This is an opportunity for you to be part of a dynamic team who supports families from the first point of contact, all the way through to adulthood, Referrals and Assessments, Children in Need, Looked after Children, Child Protection and cases within the court arena are all part of our day to day practice. Our team regularly undertakes safeguarding enquiries and court work and also supports a number of children who are Looked After. We work very closely with our partner agencies in education and health services.

Employee well-being, development and supervision are prioritised within our service. Our team works within a hybrid model that enables working from home as well as being based at Sand Martin House, Peterborough.

All about You

Does this sound like somewhere you could flourish? Do you believe in the power of the Family Safeguarding approach? With multi-disciplinary teams and positive results, delivering significantly better outcomes for some of the most vulnerable and at-risk children.

Do you thrive in diverse, supportive teams and want to feel empowered to make important decisions, flexing your creative muscle to solve challenging situations with innovative solutions.

Do you want easy access to complementary teams and services, ideally co-located in the same building, to make collaborative work much easier — at Peterborough the Housing Departments, Children's Social Care Teams, Adult Social Care, Commissioning, Legal and other teams are all easily accessed within a purpose-built office, which benefits from large river and green space views and a city centre location that is also close to main road and rail transport links.
