Senior Business Analyst, Institutional Banking & Distribution, Business Development

As the oldest African bank in the UK, we are now looking to hire an experienced Senior Business Analyst.
Key Responsibilities:
This role supports the Head of Wholesale Banking & Financing Solutions and Deputy Head of Institutional Banking & Distribution in driving IB business strategy in Sub-Saharan Africa, managing existing African FI relationships, and enhancing profitability in line with the Bank’s risk appetite, budget, targets, and global strategy.
Key Skills/Experience:
* Supporting the Relationship Manager in achieving departmental budgets.
* Driving the origination of new business and onboarding clients to improve revenue.
* Preparing and delivering credit applications for review, with strong financial statement analysis skills.
* Ensuring compliance with KYC/KYB requirements, including full reviews for new and existing clients.
* Collaborating with the Business Risk Review team to complete client outreach and reviews timely.
* Monitoring financial statement review deadlines and obtaining necessary approvals.
* Preparing limit extension requests and managing system limits post-approval.
* Distributing weekly financial limits reports.
* Handling customer queries efficiently.
* Supporting prospecting, due diligence, and portfolio management.
Experience / Knowledge:
* Experience with Financial Institutions, UK regulatory environment, credit analysis, KYC & KYB for FIs, research, and analytical skills.
* Understanding of International Trade Finance.
* Experience in the African market is advantageous.
* French language skills are desirable.
* Knowledge of financial statement spreading, Moody’s Analytical tools, and risk rating systems.
