What the Job Involves As a Support Worker within the People Directorate at Sefton Council, you will play a critical role in delivering an effective Children’s Social Care Service. Your responsibilities will include providing practical and social support to children, young people, and families, contributing to care planning and risk assessment, and promoting the welfare and resilience of vulnerable children. You will work directly with families in their homes, manage and assess risk, and facilitate contact between looked-after children and their birth families. You will also be responsible for accurate data entry and reporting, participating in meetings, and contributing to the development of the service.
