Role description: We are actively recruiting for a Senior EICA Design Engineer to join our MEICA team where you will leverage your skills across various water and wastewater projects, serving clients regionally and throughout the UK. Our Water Design and Engineering team collaborates with some of the nation's most prominent companies to enhance the UK's water infrastructure and environment through a diverse range of projects. In this role, you will report to the Principal Engineer or Associate Technical Director. You will be responsible for the design output of your engineering discipline, ensuring the technical delivery of projects meets budget, timeline, and quality objectives while exceeding client expectations. You will also promote Arcadis' services during client interactions, contribute to divisional business goals, and foster industry networks.
Role accountabilities
* Ability to self-start and work independently and as part of a team, carrying out production and checking of complex electrical detailed designs including calculations, specifications, reports, and drawings.
* Supporting and/or leading design and advisory services relating to new and existing water and wastewater process plants, pumping stations and ancillary assets.
* Ensuring safety of yourself and others through design leadership and actions.
* Technical delivery of multi-disciplinary projects, in a Design Lead capacity where assigned, using latest digital design techniques.
* Identify and develop innovative and optimised technical solutions based on client needs and drivers.
* Lead and coordinate work with multi-disciplinary teams (e.g., process, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and ICA).
* Establish and grow relationships with clients and capital alliance partners on project technical, commercial and progress matters.
* Ensuring projects meet required technical, legislative, quality, safety and environmental standards and objectives.
* Capturing key project and technical knowledge, including innovations.
* Promote MEICA team capability and achievements both internally and externally.
Qualifications & Experience
* Degree in Electrical Engineering or other related degree.
* Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status and membership of a professional institution such as IET, InstMC or CIWEM, or working towards and nearing application.
* Significant experience and track record in technical delivery of process plant systems on complex water industry engineering projects, preferably related to water and wastewater industry.
* Experience of working on design and construct projects using digital design.
* Technical/Discipline Team leader with collaborative behaviours.
* Feasibility to detailed design stage delivery experience.
* Experience with AutoCAD, AutoDesk Plant 3D and Common Data Environments.
