Background
Croydon Council has made major strides in transforming its housing services, investing over £30 million in home upgrades, launching a new repairs contact centre, and completing stock condition surveys on 86% of homes. With a £166 million regeneration of Regina Road underway and a strong focus on safety, customer care, and resident-led change, Croydon is committed to delivering high-quality homes and services as part of its Future Croydon 2024-29 programme.
Your New Role
As Resident Involvement Manager, you will lead the delivery of resident engagement and consultation across Croydon's housing services. You will develop and implement a comprehensive Resident Engagement Strategy, ensuring resident voices shape service delivery and improvement.
This role involves building governance structures for resident involvement, expanding participation opportunities, and embedding co-regulation and co-production principles. You will manage a dedicated team, work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, and champion diversity and inclusion in all engagement activities.
What You'll Need to Succeed
* Proven experience in developing and delivering resident involvement strategies.
* Strong background in social housing and understanding of regulatory frameworks.
* Ability to lead and manage a team, driving high performance and customer-centric outcomes.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Experience using data and insight to inform service improvements.
Qualifications
* Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
* Evidence of continuing professional and leadership development.
* Knowledge of resident engagement best practices and digital communication tools.
