Comms Specialist
Contract, onsite in London
This contract role requires security clearance prior to assignment. The Comms Specialist position operates in a unique environment, requiring exceptional skills and experience.
Job Purpose and Key Responsibilities:
Support the development and implementation of a Communications Strategy and Plan.
Regular Activities include:
* Strategic communications planning
* Stakeholder analysis
* Communications needs analysis
* Communications campaign planning
* Channel design
* Events planning and orchestration
* Developing the Strategy function's brand and image internally and externally
* Stakeholder and relationship management
* Organizing Town Halls, communication change networks, and other communities/initiatives
* Managing engagement initiatives
* Facilitating communications and engagement events
* Compiling governance reports and metrics
* Circulating council papers for comment
* Managing content for screens
* Organizing key events (e.g., roadshows, townhalls, team away days, workshops)
* Drafting high-level content for validation and inclusion in briefings, bulletins, newsletters, and scripts
* Updating and coordinating content on SharePoint sites
* Maintaining a regular communications plan and supporting workstreams
* Aligning communications across departments to avoid clashes
* Designing creative communication solutions for business change
Business Change:
* Organizing workshops and engagement activities with staff
* Supporting staff understanding and support for business change
* Developing and implementing business change activities
* Reviewing how well business change is embedded and recommending actions
* Planning and delivering communications to support business change
* Communicating project progress and milestones
* Leading communication efforts across product teams
* Supporting product leaders' communication strategies
* Providing insights from data to senior management
Comms Authoring:
* Creating narratives and messaging lines
* Copywriting for senior leaders and content review
* Proactively engaging community members in communication activities
