Senior Expense Business Partner – 12-Month Contract
Salary - £750 - £850 per day

We are partnering with a leading Lloyd’s Syndicate to appoint a Senior Expense Business Partner on a 12-month contract. This is a high-profile role, working closely with senior stakeholders to drive cost discipline, deliver insight, and support strategic decision-making across the business.
The Role
You will act as the key finance partner to business leaders, providing clear visibility over the expense base and helping shape forward-looking plans. This role requires a strong blend of commercial insight, stakeholder engagement, and technical financial expertise.
Key Responsibilities
* Partner with senior stakeholders to manage and challenge the expense base
* Lead budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes for expenses
* Provide clear, actionable analysis on cost performance and trends
* Deliver insight to support strategic initiatives and cost optimisation
* Develop and enhance expense reporting and MI
* Support transformation and continuous improvement initiatives across finance
* Ensure robust financial control and governance over expenses
About You
* Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
* Proven experience in business partnering, ideally within the Lloyd’s or London Market insurance sector
* Strong track record in expense management and cost control
* Highly commercial, with the ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders
* Advanced analytical skills with the ability to translate data into insight
* Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
