Senior Degree Committee Administrator (Fixed Term) – University of Cambridge
The School of Arts and Humanities (SAH) invites applications for a one-year Senior Degree Committee Administrator position. This key role within the School’s professional services team provides crucial support to the School’s leadership, contributing across a full range of activities with a particular focus on postgraduate education.
Responsibilities
* Support the School’s Departmental Committee (DC) and the Interdisciplinary Education Committee (IEC) by preparing papers, agendas, and minutes.
* Serve as Secretary for the School DC and IEC, ensuring all business is correctly processed and advising the Chair on matters to be considered formally.
* Coordinate processes with the postgraduate team at the Institute for Technology and Humanity (ITH), providing support, guidance, and procedural advice on postgraduate admissions and other DC business.
* Conduct a review of postgraduate administration across the School and contribute to other administrative and funding activities in the School Office.
Qualifications
* Strong administrative experience supporting committees and governance within higher education institutions.
* Knowledge and experience in supporting postgraduate education.
* Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and coordinate/supervise a wider team.
