The opportunity
Burp Suite technology is trusted by over 18,000 organisations worldwide, including Microsoft, Amazon, and NASA. As we continue to expand our product portfolio and deepen our presence in enterprise markets, we're investing in Product Marketing as a critical capability across Product, Sales, and Go-to-Market.
Product Marketing at PortSwigger is at an inflection point.
We have strong foundations: world-class technology, a passionate technical audience, and emerging Product Marketing capability. What we need now is experienced leadership to turn this into a coherent, durable function that creates clarity from complexity and scales with the business.
This role is not about producing more assets. It's about defining how Product Marketing works at PortSwigger and raising the bar across positioning, launches, and cross-functional alignment.
Why this role exists
PortSwigger is a company built around a simple belief: security should empower people, not slow them down. We create world-class tooling that helps security teams and developers uncover and fix real vulnerabilities, the kind that actually matter. Our products are crafted with care, backed by deep research, and shaped by a relentless drive to make the web safer for everyone.
We're a successful, engineering-led organisation where small squads are empowered to take forward work in a suitable way, high-leverage work. Curiosity fuels us, craftsmanship defines us, and mutual support keeps us growing together. Here, you'll have real agency, clear direction, and the freedom to push boundaries, supported by thoughtful coaching and a culture that values learning as much as delivery.
The Growth Tribe
You'll join the Growth Tribe, focused on helping more of the right customers discover, understand, adopt, and succeed with PortSwigger—turning deep technical value into clear outcomes across the full go-to-market journey.
What you'll do

* Define what Product Marketing owns, influences, and supports across Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing.
* Create lightweight but effective processes for intake, prioritisation, and launches.
Drive our strategic positioning and narrative
* Define and maintain clear positioning across products and capabilities.
* Create a coherent market narrative that balances technical depth with buyer clarity.
* Make hard trade-offs on messaging to avoid fragmentation as the portfolio grows.
Lead launch strategy and execution

* Partner with Product and GTM teams to align roadmap context, messaging, and timing.
* Ensure launches translate into real-world impact across sales, marketing, and customers.
Be a commercially credible GTM partner
* Work closely with Sales leadership to align positioning, pricing, packaging, and enablement.
* Use market insight and deal feedback to address objections and reduce friction in the sales cycle.
* Prioritise Product Marketing work based on business impact, not volume.
Coach and develop Product Marketing capability
* Support and develop Product Marketers in thinking, craft, and execution.
* Raise quality through feedback, shared frameworks, and reusable artefacts.
* Act as a hands-on leader: close to the work, but focused on leverage and consistency.
Requirements
About you
You are an experienced Product Marketer who has helped build Product Marketing into a respected, high-impact function. You likely:
* Have led or been a senior Product Marketing hire in a B2B SaaS company, ideally with technical or developer-facing products.
* Have experience operating in ambiguity and shaping Product Marketing before everything was clearly defined.
* Are equally comfortable with strategic positioning conversations and rolling up your sleeves to write, review, and refine messaging.
* Can partner credibly with Product and Sales leaders, balancing technical depth with commercial outcomes.
* Have coached other Product Marketers and set standards that improved consistency and impact across a team.
You're opinionated, thoughtful, and pragmatic. You care about clarity over noise, outcomes over output, and building things that last.
Why this role matters
Product Marketing is becoming increasingly central to how we:
* Communicate complex technical value to diverse audiences
* Launch products and capabilities with confidence
* Align Product, Sales, and Marketing around shared context and priorities
This role will shape how Product Marketing operates at PortSwigger for years to come.
