Your purpose will be:

This position is responsible for the management of the Marketing and communications team in the key areas of media coverage, collateral and publications, special events/promotions, community relations and advertising.

Reporting to the Director of Sales and Marketing the Marketing and Communications Manager is responsible for developing, managing, and delivering the annual Marketing & PR Plan in alignment with the resort’s business objectives, ensuring all activities support revenue goals and brand positioning.


Job Description
1. Presenting marketing performance updates at monthly meetings, highlighting ROI, insights, and opportunities for new activity in response to business trends.
2. Collaborating with the Director of Sales and Marketing, General Manager, and Commercial Team to integrate marketing and communications strategies across departments.
3. Maintaining and strengthening relationships with external agencies, partners, and brand representatives to ensure alignment with Fairmont and Accor standards.
4. Oversee in co-ordination with the Digital Marketing Manager, update the resort’s digital presence, ensuring website, email, and social media platforms reflect brand standards, current content, and strategic messaging.
5. Managing and optimising databases and CRM systems for all business segments, including golf, spa, rooms, and F&B, to drive targeted communication and guest engagement.
6. Acting as the brand champion, ensuring all marketing materials, imagery, and communications adhere to Fairmont’s global identity standards.
7. Leading the design and production of marketing collateral, both digital and print, to support guest acquisition and retention.
8. Coordinating with Fairmont and Accor regional marketing teams to implement brand campaigns locally.
9. Building and maintaining relationships with local, regional, and national media across travel, lifestyle, business, and leisure sectors.
10. Developing and distributing press releases, coordinating media visits, and acting as spokesperson when required.
11. Identifying and executing PR opportunities, partnerships, and community initiatives that align with the Fairmont brand and promote resort awareness.
12. Monitoring media coverage, evaluating results, and circulating relevant stories internally.
13. Coordinating and supporting resort events, including weddings, corporate launches, and trade exhibitions, ensuring consistent branding and communication.
14. Organizing and promoting in-house events such as wedding fairs and F&B activations.
15. Developing and maintaining local partnerships and community initiatives that enhance brand reputation and drive positive PR exposure.
16. Representing the resort at trade shows, media events, and relevant exhibitions to explore new opportunities.
17. Compiling monthly marketing performance reports, highlighting activity, spend, ROI, and key learnings.
18. Monitoring campaign effectiveness, adjusting plans to maximise impact and return on investment.
19. Supporting and collaborating with all departments to ensure marketing initiatives drive revenue and guest engagement.
20. Mentoring, training, and guiding marketing team members and colleagues to build skills and foster a guest-focused culture.

Qualifications
21. Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field, or equivalent commercial experience
22. 3–5 years’ experience in e-commerce, digital marketing, or a similar role in hospitality or related industries
23. Excellent communication and customer service skills in written and spoken English
24. Ability to engage effectively with luxury clientele and senior stakeholders
25. Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
26. Results-oriented, proactive, and solution-focused with a collaborative approach
27. Upholds brand standards for professional conduct and presentation
28. Proficient in MS Excel, Word, & PowerPoint
