Outpatient Administration Advert
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Outpatient Administration team for NHS Grampian within Woodend General Hospital.
We have a Band 2 Outpatient Receptionist post available:
* 14.8 hours - Thursday 08:30-17:00 & Friday 08:30-16:48
We are looking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic individual to provide administrative support to the Outpatients Department.
The role involves:
1. Dealing with telephone enquiries from patients
2. Processing GP referrals
3. Preparing clinic lists and paperwork for upcoming clinics
4. Assisting clinic coordinators with booking appointments from outpatient waiting lists
5. Performing other general administrative duties
Applicants must demonstrate good customer service skills, a polite telephone manner, and the ability to work as part of a team. Flexibility and the ability to work well under pressure during staff shortages are essential.
Applicants should be confident, caring, and empathetic when dealing with service users and colleagues both over the phone and in person. Well-organized, methodical, and possessing excellent communication, interpersonal, and IT skills are necessary to manage the demands of a busy clinic reception.
