* Greet and assist visitors, parents, staff, and students warmly and professionally.
* Operate switchboard, manage main email inbox, and handle general inquiries.
* Manage visitor sign-in/out, ensuring security and adherence to safeguarding protocols.
* Maintain a tidy, positive, and welcoming reception area.
* Update school MIS (e.g., SIMS) with admissions, pupil data, and documents.
* Manage pupil attendance records, making first-day absence calls to parents.
* Process late arrivals and early departures.
* Assist with pupil medication administration and care plans (if applicable).
* General clerical duties: filing, photocopying, word processing, data entry.
* Manage incoming/outgoing post and deliveries.
* Assist with school communications (mail merges, proofreading, distributing info).
* Maintain school diaries, event calendars, and produce lists/reports as needed.
* Prepare meeting agendas, take minutes, and distribute them.
* Strict adherence to school policies, especially child protection, data protection (GDPR), and health & safety.
* Report any concerns immediately.
* Support other office staff and undertake other duties as directed by SLT/Bursar.
* Help prepare for events (e.g., open days, parent evenings).

* Excellent communication (written/verbal) and interpersonal skills.
* Highly organized, able to multitask and prioritize.
* Proactive, flexible, and "can-do" attitude.
* Discretion and ability to handle confidential information.
* Proficiency with school software (SIMS), Microsoft Office, and general IT.
* Awareness of safeguarding and data protection laws.
