Quantity Surveyor, Social Housing Refurbishment, Leicestershire:
Our client has been operating for nearly 30 years delivering specialist property solutions exclusively within the social housing sector. They undertake responsive repairs, void refurbishments, statutory compliance services and retrofit programmes. With continued growth across their Midlands region, they are now seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their established social housing team, supporting a portfolio of over 15,000+ homes across Repairs & Maintenance, Voids and Planned Works. The role will be based on one of their projects in Leicestershire but will offer some work from home flexibility
You will play a pivotal role within the commercial structure providing accurate reporting, mentoring junior team members and ensuring robust financial control across multiple workstreams.
Operating under the TPC2005 (amended 2008) ACA form of contract for Responsive Repairs and Voids including Complex Repairs and occasional Capital Planned Works you will ensure the business secures full contractual entitlement while maintaining strong, value-driven relationships with both clients and supply chain partners.
The Role
Safeguard commercial performance, ensuring contracts meet or exceed budgeted targets.
Measure and manage NHF Schedule of Rates and bespoke contract rates, acting as a subject matter expert on contractual arrangements.
Maximise cash flow through accurate monthly applications and proactive resolution of client queries.
Monitor job cost versus revenue, providing clear analysis to support operational and financial decision-making.
Identify and escalate potential commercial risks or disputes in a timely manner.
Support preparation of CVRs, CVCs, forecasts and management accounts, maintaining tight governance of budgets and cost control.
Manage and develop supply chain relationships, including onboarding new partners where required.
Utilise internal systems including Excel and Connect to ensure accurate, data-led reporting
What Youll Bring
Previous Quantity Surveying experience within a relevant environment.
A QS degree or equivalent practical experience.
Strong contractual knowledge and confident negotiation skills.
Advanced Excel capability (including V-Lookups, Pivot Tables and formula development).
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines consistently.
Full UK driving licence.
Experience within Social Housing, familiarity with NHF SORs and elemental works.
