Cherwell Hospital
The Cherwell Hospital, located in Banbury, Oxfordshire was purpose built in 2006 and has been designed to combine an exceptional standard of patient accommodation with the technical equipment and facilities that modern medicine demands. The Hospital has a 40-bed inpatient unit, consisting of single or twin rooms and a day case facility. All rooms which have twin beds are single sex units ensuring privacy and dignity at all times. The Hospital is equipped to undertake a large range of procedures, treatments and investigations. We have three fully equipped theatres, with a five-bedded recovery unit. Other outpatient facilities include physiotherapy, pharmacy, radiology, ultrasound and MRI.
Staff Nurse - Ophthalmology Ward
Salary up to £33,000 depending on experience
We are inviting applications from Registered Nurses to join the Ophthalmology Ward, based at The Cherwell Hospital in Banbury, Oxfordshire.
We are seeking enthusiastic and experienced team players to join our Ward nursing team in delivering a high standard of clinical care whilst ensuring patient safety, dignity and confidentiality. IT and excellent communication skills are essential and a willingness to take on additional roles and extended skills to enhance the provision of patient care are also required.
This is a busy department so the ability to work under pressure and maintain a good sense of humour is essential. The successful candidate must be highly motivated and able to work flexible hours.

What you will bring with you
1. Registered nursing qualification or equivalent
2. Registered with the NMC
3. Sound written and verbal communication skills
4. Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
5. Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the business
6. Demonstrated customer service skills
7. Demonstrated computer skills
8. Evidence of continued development (essential)
9. Private healthcare experience
10. Have experience within Ophthalmology or an eager interest to learn and develop skills in this field.
