Role: Senior Cloud Engineer
Location: Gloucester (3 days hybrid once DV Clearance is obtained)
Clearance: Eligibility for both SC and DV Clearance with the UK Government
Package: Up to £75,000 per annum + £7,000 DV Bonus, Private Medical and a wider range of benefits.

A leading provider of digital intelligence and national security solutions is seeking a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to join their expanding team in Gloucester. This role focuses on designing, building, and managing secure cloud infrastructures in a high-stakes environment. You will play a key part in delivering mission-critical platforms for UK government clients, leveraging strong AWS expertise to drive innovation and security.

Responsibilities
Design and build cloud-native architectures using AWS services.
Deploy and manage infrastructure as code with tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK.
Handle infrastructure creation, management, and design, including software-defined networking.
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery.
Develop exemplar implementation patterns, such as standardised configuration management scripts.
Manage software configuration, source repositories, and leverage AWS security features to enforce best practices.
For senior contributors, lead teams or individuals on projects.
Candidate Profile
You will be a seasoned cloud engineer with strong AWS proficiency across a range of services, staying current with the latest releases.
Essential experience includes:
Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK)
Configuration management (Puppet, Chef, Ansible)
Container orchestration (Kubernetes, ECS, OpenShift)
Networking concepts translating to cloud environments.
Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, Go)
AWS certifications advantageous.
Candidates must hold the permanent right to live and work in the UK without restrictions and be solely British nationals, as SC and DV clearances are mandatory (process starts post-offer). A resourceful, innovative mindset suits their blend of generalists and specialists
