Interim Senior Management AccountantContract Type: Interim (3 days office/2 days from home after training)Day Rate: £250-£300 (via umbrella company)
Are you a seasoned Management Accountant who is experienced, adept at supporting others, a quick learner and who can work in commercially driven business? Our client is a forward-thinking organisation seeking a finance professional who can immediately add value and support key financial operations.Key Responsibilities:
* Working under the guidance of the Financial Controller, you will support the wider team in several critical areas, including:
* Producing and reviewing monthly management accounts with detailed variance analysis and commentary.
* Collaborating with operational departments to assist with budget preparation, forecasting, and financial planning.
* Creating and maintaining financial models to support strategic initiatives and scenario planning.
* Carrying out cost reviews and performance evaluations.
* Support the wider team with areas including accruals, prepayments and complex reconciliations
* Preparing financial reports for senior leadership.
What We're Looking For:The ideal candidate will bring:
* A solid background in producing full management account packs, including experience with reconciliations, accruals, forecasts, and budgets.
* A professional qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or extensive relevant experience within a commercial finance setting.
* Strong Excel capabilities, ideally with proficiency in PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, and logical functions (e.g., IF statements).
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to work closely with senior stakeholders
This is a great interim opportunity for a commercially aware and hands-on Management Accountant who enjoys working cross-functionally and contributing to operational and financial performance.
