*We are looking for an experienced Qualified Dental Nurse to join our team.*Our practice, based in the heart of York, is independently owned and provides family dental care as well as various cosmetic treatments.If you are looking to progress, we offer fully funded training courses (e.g. OHE and radiography) and the option of additional duties (e.g: first aider, fire marshal, information governance lead)*Working hours: *07.45 - 17.30, 4 days = 35 hours per week with 1 hour lunch break per day.*Starting salary:* from £14 per hour for Qualified dental nurse, additional qualifications/duties will increase salary offer.*Your Key Responsibilities:** To provide a reliable, efficient and timely service to ensure we exceed patient expectations at every visit and provide a first class customer experience* To work as part of the whole dental team to assist in the provision and delivery of dental care services to patients.* Ensure that all activities undertaken at the practice are in line with our policies and procedures.* To provide clinical chairside support to the clinician and maintain stock levels of consumables within the surgery* To ensure a high level of cross infection control and decontaminate dental instruments* To maintain and update patient records* To carry out administration duties and provide support to our patients via our call centre or reception on occasion*Specific Skills Required:** Dental Nursing Qualification* Registered with the GDC* Minimum of 2 years dental nursing experience is preferable* Be able to maintain a strong emphasis on the patient journey and level of service provided* Have a willingness to learn and a motivated approach to continued professional development.* Be able to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment* Have strong interpersonal and communication skills* Be proactive and have a caring, positive mental attitude* Experience with Dentally Software desirable (training will be provided)* Have a good level of computer literacy including knowledge of Microsoft office 365*What We Can Offer You:** A happy, friendly and dedicated working environment* Strong operational and clinical support* Fully funded CPD courses* On-going training, funded additional qualifications and career development (eg OHE, Radiography, Impression Taking and Fluoride application)* Additional duties available such as decontamination lead* Bi-annual team outings, fizz Fridays and treat days* Regular reviews of job role and salary* DBS Check paid by employer* GDC Registration paid by employer* Dental Indemnity paid by employer* Enrolment in our Employer Contributory PensionJob Type: PermanentPay: From £14.00 per hourEducation:* GCSE or equivalent (preferred)Experience:* Dental Nursing: 2 years (preferred)Licence/Certification:* GDC registration (required)Work Location: In person
