Experienced Heating Engineer/ Gas Safe Plumber responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing plumbing and heating systems to keep facilities safe,pliant, and fully operational. Skilled in diagnosing faults, carrying out preventative maintenance, and responding to emergencies to minimise disruption. Confident, working independently, managing workload effectively, and meeting tight deadlines.

Salary: £44,000–£47,000
Hours: Mon–Fri, 08:00–16:00
Holiday: 28 days + 7 bank holidays
Key Skills & Responsibilities
1. Maintenance, repair, and installation of plumbing and heating systems
2. Servicing gas and oil boilers; clearing drains; fixing leaks and faults
3. Conducting inspections,pliance checks, andpleting safety documentation
4. Responding to urgent plumbing issues and out of hours emergencies
5. Maintaining accurate records, stock levels, andpliance logs
6. Working safely in confined spaces and at height
7. Collaborating with facilities staff and contractors; supporting general maintenance
8. Reducing energy waste and promoting safe, efficient site operations
Qualifications & Skills
9. OFTEC qualified; Gas Safe/LPG desirable (training available)
10. Strong plumbing experience, ideally in a school or similar environment
11. Knowledge of building regulations, safety procedures, andpliance
12. Excellent time management, problem-solving, and IT skills
13. Ability to manage physical tasks and work flexibly
